The HTC Mozart Windows Phone 7 smartphone will follow the HD7 soon into the Indian market, if indications on HTC's India website are anything to go by. It will be the second HTC Windows Phone 7 device to be launched for sale in India. Although not launched officially, the HTC HD7 is being sold on Flipkart for a price of Rs. 29,999 -- we won't be surpised if the HTC Mozart takes a similar route soon. Related News
Why our sudden interest in the HTC Mozart? Well, because the phone has quietly popped up on the manufacturer's India website -- yes, the HTC Mozart's info page went up on HTC India's website. And for a Windows Phone 7 handset from HTC, the Mozart has a few interesting features over the HD7. HTC Mozart -- listed on HTC India's website The HTC Mozart has a smaller capacitive touchscreen display than the HD7: 3.7-inch compared to 4.3-inch, respectively for the two Windows Phone 7 devices. However, the HTC Mozart packs in the same amount of pixels as the larger-screened HD7 -- 480x800 pixel resolution. Another highlight of the HTC Mozart is its 8MP camera with Xenon flash support -- superior to the HC7's 5MP with dual-LED flash. The camera on the HTC Mozart can record HD 720p videos.
Apart from this, the HTC Mozart has a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and runs on Windows Phone 7. The Mozart sports 8GB of internal storage and has 512MB of ROM and 576MB of RAM onboard.
While its info page is up on HTC India's website, pricing of the HTC Mozart is still unknown. We don't think it will be too far away from the HTC HD7's selling price of Rs. 30,000 on Flipkart. And again, we won't be surprised if the HTC Mozart popped up there for buyers to purchase.
